. . Previous: 17th. Carolina Panthers. 10. team. 87

Pros: Christian McCaffery and Alvin Kamara may be the best running backs in the NFL and they are both electrifying with the ball in space. McCaffery is the most consistent right now, and the move he put on three Tampa Bay defenders was enough for me to completely buy into that offense.

With Cam Newton out, the Panthers look more stable and they look like they can hit the wide open man consistently. Between Kyle Allen, McCaffery, and the rest of those weapons, a mediocre offensive line really doesn’t even bother me that much.

Oh yea, and the defense is outstanding featuring the best linebacker in the NFL over the last decade and an opportunistic supporting cast that can make plays whether that includes sacks or interceptions.

Cons: While Allen raises the floor of the Panthers tremendously, he also limits the ceiling. Without the other team’s help, it is hard for me to imagine a world where the Panthers hit 40 on offense. Ultimately though it shouldn’t matter because the defense is so good that they should never have to hit a number close to that.
