NFL Power Rankings Week 7: Titans collapse and bench Marcus Mariota

Pros: The Bears do have a good defense and I really think that they are built to compete in the NFC, but they need December to get here quickly. The way the schedule lays out in front of them feels like a 4-4 season is going to be here by Week 9, so if they need some time to figure things out they can do that without really messing with their playoff chances.

Cons: With the news that Kyle Long is going on IR, the offensive line for the Bears is going to be looked at even harder which is not something Chicago should want. The quarterback issue is going to be bad either way, but the running back situation is still up in the air.

David Montgomery has the skills to be a real running back in the NFL, but something about his game right now just isn’t clicking consistently. If the line can get a push and if they can figure out how to ride him on offense and then attack off of play action and easy throws for the quarterback then they can win some ugly games. If they can’t, then this team has a really low floor.
