4. A.J. Brown‘s stellar start

While other rookie receivers may be getting more opportunity than A.J. Brown, the Titans first year man from Ole Miss is doing more than nearly everyone with the opportunity he has been given.

Only former Ole Miss teammate D.K. Metcalf has a higher YPC total than Brown, as his 22.3 slightly edges out Brown’s 20.8.

That number is good for 10th among all pass catchers, with most of them having just a handful of catches to their names.

Only Mike Evans and Larry Fitzgerald have more gains of 40+ than Brown, which is truly a testament to Brown’s ability to make plays happen despite playing less than half of the snaps.

Unlike Metcalf who has been lined up on the left side and has basically run one route on repeat, Brown has split his time almost down the middle on the left and right side as well as working in some slot snaps.

While he haven’t seen any jet sweep motion, or screens to Brown it feels like it is only a matter of time before he becomes a bigger and more consistent part of the offense.
