Titans left tackle Taylor Lewan summed up the team perfectly after the Week 5 loss to the Buffalo Bills: he called the Titans “consistently inconsistent”.
One week, the Titans can look like world-beaters, and the next they look like an awful team. So, which version is going to show up this week?
Chances are it’ll be the good version of the Titans. Thankfully, this isn’t a home game where the Titans are 0-2 this season, and they just played about as poorly as one could imagine last week.
Tennessee tends to bounce back after performances like that against the Bills and play well on the road, the game against Jacksonville not withstanding. The Titans’ two wins, both of which were quite impressive, came on road games.
No team is happier to be away from home than Tennessee right now, where the team doesn’t even have home-field advantage anyway.
The Titans will walk into Denver, fight the altitude, and go on to defeat the Broncos in an impressive fashion one week after it seemed that the sky was falling. Because, you know, this is what the Titans do.
