Loser: Mike Vrabel

Man, what is going on? I don’t know how many times the Titans have to screw up before there is a change.

For four weeks the Titans have trusted Dion Lewis to make plays in the passing game and for weeks he has dropped passes and missed in pass protection. Today I believe he had two drops and a missed cut block that got Marcus Mariota hit full speed in the knees.

Four times today Cairo Santos was called on and four times he missed kicks.

Before that the Titans refused to consider other options at right guard, they insisted that David Fluellen was worth a roster spot, and they have continued to add offensive linemen to the point that they had to have four inactive today.

There is sticking with your guns and having confidence that your players can dig themselves out of holes, and then there is being stubborn to a point where it hurts the team. So far we have only seen the latter.

I am a big Mike Vrabel fan from his disposition to his general concept of how a team should function, but either he has surrounded himself with people that don’t know what they are doing on offense or he isn’t listening to them.

Either way that is a problem that has to get fixed.
