30. Washington Redskins (0-5)

Recap: The Washington Redskins actually had hope for about the first eight minutes of this game after a 65-yard Steven Sims. Jr. touchdown run gave them an early lead over the New England Patriots in the first quarter. Unfortunately for Jay Gruden’s squad, the Pats woke up and went on to score 33 unanswered points the rest of the way.

Pros: Terry McLaurin looks like he’s going to be a good receiver, and the Redskins actually have a chance to win next week against a team that might be worse than they are. That could be considered a con also, though.

Cons: McLaurin has nobody to throw him the football. After giving Dwayne Haskins a shot in Week 4, the Redskins went to Colt McCoy in Week 5 with Case Keenum on the shelf. Haskins is not ready to be a quarterback in this league, and who knows if he’ll ever be. This is a franchise in serious turmoil right now and in desperate need of new leadership.

Outlook: The first win of the season could be on the horizon for the Redskins, as a matchup with the Miami Dolphins is waiting for them in Week 6. It’ll be a battle between two teams who are both better off losing every game this season in order to secure the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 draft.
