3. New Orleans Saints (4-1)

Recap: Teddy Bridgewater had his best game of the 2019 campaign in relief of Drew Brees, as he threw for over 300 yards and four touchdowns in a winning effort over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs made it close late, but a fourth quarter touchdown pass from Bridgewater to Michael Thomas sealed the deal in New Orleans.

Pros: Bridgewater seems to be getting better each week and the Saints are weathering the storm without Brees. It looks like Brees is ahead of schedule, so the Saints should be welcoming back their starter soon. The Saints defense is also stepping up in a major way since Brees went down to injury.

Cons: There isn’t much to be negative about with the Saints right now. Bridgewater is filling in for Brees better than anyone could have hoped, and the defense looks legit. There’s no question that New Orleans is one of the best teams in the NFL right now.

Outlook: It remains to be seen if the Saints will have Brees back in the next few weeks, but they’ve done more than enough to remain among the league’s elite without him. The Saints draw the Jacksonville Jaguars on the road in Week 6.
