4 Tennessee Titans primed for a big day against Buffalo Bills

2. Corey Davis
Earlier I said that Adam Humphries wasn’t my highest rated pass catcher on this list, and you may have assumed that I was going to give A.J. Brown the nod.
The two reasons I didn’t do that have to do with some misconceptions about A.J. Brown vs Corey Davis.
First of all, A.J. Brown does tend to start out on the field before Corey Davis but he has only played 117 snaps this year on offense compared to 204 by Davis. The opportunity and volume is there for Corey Davis to have a big game every week.
Secondly, I think that people believe that Brown is going to be used more in the slot than Davis if the Titans want to get creative. So far that isn’t close to true with Davis playing 65 snaps in the slot compared to just 9 from the rookie.
If Buffalo takes the cheese and tries to treat A.J. Brown as the WR1 when he is on the field (especially when Davis is in the slot) then the Titans are going to look to that matchup early and often to try to get big plays in the passing game.
