Tennessee Titans defense: Kevin Byard

It has been three whole games since we saw a Kevin Byard interception, which in Byard years is like, forever.

I already expect the Titans to be in a heavier personnel package this week with Wesley Woodyard likely to get some more time that normal. However, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Byard and Logan Ryan in the box more as well.

Both of those guys are effective blitzers and I could see them being responsible for Frank Gore in the passing game. If they see him stay in and block they could have the alert to blitz which could lead to some huge plays by them.

If they can force the Bills to pass, I would almost rather have Byard just playing a “robber” role and reading the eyes of the QB like they had him do two years ago in Cleveland when he had 3 picks.

With the Bills averaging nearly 2 interceptions per game, the odds are that Byard is going to have his chances at a pick as well as some TFLs or a sack.
