Nate Davis possibly starting and playing all game:

The OL is gaining its anchor back at left tackle with Taylor Lewan, but another reason to show optimism for this week’s matchup is the possibility of Nate Davis possibly starting and playing the entire game.

Davis, the third-round pick out of the 2019 NFL Draft, brings a great improvement in pass blocking to Tennessee’s o-line. Davis has a significantly better pass-blocking rating than Jamil Douglas. Davis has a pass-block rating of 56.9 according to Pro Football Focus.

Douglas has a pass-block rating of just 28.3.

For Tennessee, pass-blocking is where the biggest struggles have been all season. Sacks have been way too high for the Titans, and have caused multiple problems for Tennessee’s success on offense.

If Davis is able to come back and start and play the entire game, he has the ability to give the o-line a great boost at the right guard position specifically during pass plays.

Along with the return of Lewan, the o-line has an opportunity to have their best performance of the season thus far against Buffalo.
