The Tennessee Titans are bringing wide receiver Quincy Adeboyejo for a workout on Tuesday.

The Tennessee Titans are apparently looking to add to their receivers, as the team is scheduled to bring wide receiver Quincy Adeboyejo in for a workout on Tuesday.

NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport brought us this interesting little nugget.

Adeboyejo is an undrafted free agent out of Ole Miss who has spent time with both the Baltimore Ravens and New York Jets. The Jets signed him back in August but later let him go.

The Ole Miss product has played in just one game since entering the NFL. He has yet to record any stats.

Adeboyejo spent four years in college and compiled 106 receptions for 1,454 yards and 11 touchdowns. His best season came in 2015 when he totaled 38 catches for 604 yards and seven scores.

The 6-foot-3, 195 pound receiver does have a connection to the Titans somewhat. Both he and rookie wideout A.J. Brown were teammates on Ole Miss back in 2016.

What we can’t figure out is why the Titans need to bring a receiver in for a workout in the first place. Tennessee already has five on its active roster in Brown, Corey Davis, Adam Humphries, Tajae Sharpe and Darius Jennings.

The Titans also have one more on their practice squad in the form of training camp and preseason standout, wide receiver Kalif Raymond.

On the troublesome side, perhaps the Titans are dealing with an injury at the position that we don’t know about yet, and on the less troublesome side perhaps the team is just looking for more depth.

However, it remains to be seen if the Titans will even sign Adeboyejo, so this could all mean nothing. I guess we’ll have some clarity on this situation at some point during the day today, or perhaps tomorrow.
