Tennessee Titans: Biggest standouts from Week 4 win

Jurrell Casey

The veteran defensive lineman called the Week 4 matchup with the Falcons a must-win game, and he responded with his best performance of 2019. Casey totaled four tackles, but also had a sack and he recovered a fumble he forced. It was good to see the big man playing at a high level again.

Titans run defense

Tennessee’s run defense was solid once again in Week 4. Falcons running backs Devonta Freeman and Ito Smith combined for just 42 yards on 14 carries, which is less than three yards per tote.

What was an issue for the Titans in 2018 is no longer in 2019. Outside of two big runs by Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette and Indianapolis Colts back Jordan Wilkins, the Titans’ run defense has been stout and is greatly improved from a season ago.
