4th round pick, Amani Hooker: C+

Primarily a deep safety, Hooker hasn’t done what I expected him to do this season which was play a lot of slot cornerback.

Maybe that was the eventual plan for him before Logan Ryan started having his Pro Bowl season, but either way the coaches seem to see Hooker primarily as a deep safety for the time being.

I don’t mean that to sound like criticism because he has done a good job there, I was just expecting to see more of him up close to the ball blitzing and being in the picture.

Instead, the Titans view him as someone that can help support aggressive cornerback play by taking good angles and reading the routes of the receivers.

He has been active on special teams and overall I think he is a good addition to the Titans, but since he hasn’t really don’t anything ground breaking or interesting yet I can only give him a “C+” though I am high on him as a prospect.
