3rd round pick, Nate Davis: B

You could argue that it is too early to tell on Nate Davis, but the Atlanta game showed me a lot from the rookie.

Despite not being able to stay on the field and get into rhythm because of how the coaching staff was managing his snaps, Nate Davis was consistently the best run blocking interior lineman on either team.

He plays through the whistle and is so strong when he locks on to a defender, which is what the right side of the offensive line needs with Jack Conklin and Ben Jones also fitting that style.

There was some struggling with quickness on a play in pass protection, but from the alignment and from Marcus Mariota‘s indication after the play it looks like that was more on Ben Jones.

Honestly, I thought Nate Davis would struggle early in his NFL career with the transition to the pros but I give Davis and offensive line coach Keith Carter a lot of credit for improving his technique issues.

If he can be a full time starter going forward, this offensive line’s weakest player may be Rodger Saffold who looked like he was finally getting back to where he was supposed to be last week.
