Week 4 ranking: 3rd

The Jaguars are another AFC South team who won’t see any movement after a Week 4 win over the Denver Broncos. Yes, the Colts lost to the Oakland Raiders, but the Jaguars didn’t exactly beat anyone of note, with the Broncos being certain basement-dwellers in their own division this season.

The good news is that it looks like Jacksonville will continue to get consistent play from their rookie quarterback, Gardner Minshew, who continues to take the world by storm. Minshew completed 19-of-33 passes for 213 yards and two touchdowns to no picks.

More importantly, the Jags finally saw some life from running back Leonard Fournette, who torched the Broncos for 225 yards on the ground, which was his first 100-yard performance of 2019. The Jags need more performances like that in order to give Minshew some support.

Week 5 presents a tough road matchup with a surging Carolina Panthers team that has won two games in a row despite not having quarterback Cam Newton on the field. The Jags have to be careful or they could be the latest victim of backup quarterback, Kyle Allen.
