New England Patriots. 1. team. 47. . . Previous: 1st

It has to be the Patriots, there is no other option at #1 and I will tell you why.

Forget having the best QB of all time or the best coach of all time, the New England Patriots defense is terrifyingly good.

Through 4 games they have allowed one touchdown and only 27 cumulative points, they are doing a historically great job and it is making the offense’s job so easy.

All together, the Patriots are on pace to have nearly +400 differential on the season and to compare that to last season, the leaders were the New Orleans Saints with +151.

That means the Patriots could spend the rest of the season playing half as well and still have the best combination of offense and defense in the last two years.

The Patriots are just well coached and skilled across the board, so if they can just stay healthy and keep outrunning Father Time then they seem destined for the Super Bowl although, I don’t know if Bill Belichick would even smile about it at this point.

The man is about to create football history and all the players can talk about is how disrespected they are and all he can do is scowl. No judgement here, Sour Bill is the best Bill.
