NFL Power Rankings Week 5: Titans bounce back after win vs Falcons

I hate knocking a good team down for losing a game against another great opponent, especially when you lose to the Kansas City Chiefs on trick plays and a weird fumble TD.

However, the Lions are going to go down just a little bit because I think that this loss and the tie blend together to suggest that maybe they aren’t quite ready to finish these important games out like they should?

Matt Stafford looked better than I thought he would and for the most part the Lions look like they are for real, but maybe more “for real NFC North contenders” not “for real post season run contenders.”

The Lions feel like they are a piece away from being special, but this is the same feeling I had last year when they looked promising early and then fell off a cliff. Time will tell exactly where they should be, but for now being ranked just outside of the elite teams isn’t bad.
