Tennessee Titans: 3 bold predictions for game vs. Falcons
Abandoning all reason, here are three bold predictions for the Tennessee Titans in Week 4.
We’re going bold with these three predictions for the Tennessee Titans in their Week 4 game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Let’s get right to the action.
Titans allow zero sacks
This one is extra bold for two reasons:
- It’s hard for any team to allow zero sacks in a game
- The Titans have allowed 17 sacks through three games and the offensive line has looked horrid.
The good news here is that the Falcons have mustered up just five sacks in three games and don’t have nearly as talented a pass-rush as the Titans faced in Jacksonville last week.
While Jamil Douglas is expected to start, the Titans will deploy Nate Davis at some point, and that should help at least a little.
Furthermore, look for the Titans to try and get the ball out of Marcus Mariota’s hands quicker. It’s an adjustment offensive coordinator Arthur Smith needs to make, and he’ll do just that.
Adam Humphries totals 100 yards and a long TD catch
Adam Humphries came alive in Week 3 with six catches for 93 yards in what was his best game as a Titan after totaling just three catches for four yards in his first two games.
Humphries has more experience facing this Falcons team than any other player on the roster, as he spent four years with the Falcons’ division rivals, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. For his career, Humphries has 29 catches for 329 yards and two touchdowns against Atlanta.
In what was one of his best games last season, Humphries caught three passes for 82 yards against the Falcons, which included a 51-yard grab, his longest reception of 2018.
Titans secondary will get three interceptions
Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan has been a turnover machine through three games, as he’s totaled six picks so far.
The Titans secondary is due for some picks after totaling four in the first two games, but none in Week 3. Of course, this will require the Titans getting some pressure, which they were unable to do last week.
Still, Ryan is prone to making mistakes and he’ll do plenty of that against a talented Titans secondary.
