2. Titans have a deadly 1-2 WR combo

The wide receiver position has historically been a problem for the Tennessee Titans throughout the history of the franchise. Although it is too early to say for certain, this may be the most talented wide receiver tandem that this team has ever put on the field.

Wide receivers Corey Davis and A.J. Brown both put on a show during the Titans’ 24-10 victory over the Falcons. The tandem combined for eight catches for 185 yards and three touchdowns on a day that the passing attack was alive and well.

Brown scored two touchdowns in the first quarter. One displayed his ability to make big plays and pick up yards after the catch, while the other showed his awareness after he was able to drag his toe to remain in bounds and finish the scoring play.

Davis’ touchdown catch was on a beautiful pass from Mariota, however Davis still had to make a nice turn to get past his defender in order to take it to the house.

The tandem has shown flashes of being stars on the rise, but they must do this on a weekly basis if they’re going to be taken seriously in the National media.
