Tennessee Titans kicker, Cairo Santos.
CLEVELAND, OHIO – SEPTEMBER 08: Kicker Cairo Santos #7 of the Tennessee Titans kicks a 35 yard field goal with punter Brett Kern #6 in the first quarter of the game against the Cleveland Browns at FirstEnergy Stadium on September 08, 2019 in Cleveland, Ohio. (Photo by Jason Miller/Getty Images) /

Kicker: B

Considering he was a last-minute replacement for Ryan Succop, Cairo Santos has been great for Tennessee. He’s made 3-of-4 field goal attempts, including a long of 53 yards, and has made all eight of his extra points. The only gripe with Santos is that he missed a very important 45-yard kick in Week 2 that would have put the Titans up 20-13 early in the fourth quarter.

Punter: A

Only seven of Brett Kern’s 20 punts have been returned, nine of them have landed inside the 20, and his longest punt went for 70 yards. He might not be at the top of the league yet in terms of gross or net yards per punt, but you know he will be eventually.

There are three guarantees in life: death, taxes, and Brett Kern. The man can do no wrong in my eyes.

Returners: D

When Adoree’ Jackson isn’t botching returns, the Titans are actually decent in the return game.

Tennessee ranks 11th in the NFL in yards per punt return (8.7), but 20th in yards per kick return (20.2). Of course, both stats can be inflated at the start of the season because one big run for any team could make those numbers look a lot more impressive.

Hopefully the Titans come to their senses and keep Jackson far away from the return game, or at least on punt returns. Jackson alone handed seven points to the Jags with his fumble, and let another punt roll that set the Titans up with bad field position.
