Linebackers: B

I wanted to give this group an “A” so bad, but the lack of a pass-rush the last two weeks — particularly last week when the team didn’t notch a single sack — and the two aforementioned big runs has ruined that. On top of those facts, Titans linebackers have missed far too many tackles.

Cameron Wake had 2.5 sacks in Week 1 and hasn’t been heard from again since. I blame that on the coaching staff considering he’s seen his snap counts drop significantly from 24 in Week 1, to 17 and then 14 in weeks two and three. That is unacceptable.

There was a lot of hype surrounding Harold Landry and his new pass-rush moves, but so far he has just one sack and one QB hit. Sharif Finch is on the board with just one sack, also. Regardless of what we expected, Wake and Landry already have more sacks than both Titans starters at EDGE had all of last season.

The place where this linebacker corps. has really shined is on the inside. Jayon Brown and Rashaan Evans have been as advertised thus far, and even helped the Titans earn recognition as the best linebacker unit in Week 3, per PFF. Brown remains an absolute stud in coverage, and Evans is doing a little bit of everything to really solidify this group.
