Week 3 ranking: No. 4

The Jags moved out of the cellar in the AFC South with a Week 3 win over the Titans.

Not only did Jacksonville render Derrick Henry irrelevant to the tune of 2.6 yards per carry, but the pass-rush also tallied an impressive nine sacks and 12 QB hits on Mariota. As a result, the Titans passing attack was grounded for the most part thanks to the constant pressure.

It also looks as though Gardner Minshew will at least keep the Jaguars competitive with Nick Foles out, and at most the rookie quarterback could create a controversy at the position when the highly-paid Foles does return.

The Jags will continue to stay relevant thanks to their great defense, although that same defense will certainly take a hit should the team decide to trade Jalen Ramsey at some point this season.

In Week 4, the Jaguars hit the road to take on the Denver Broncos, who have yet to get in the win column this season. Denver’s offense has looked pitiful thus far, so this is another prime spot for the Jags defense to dominate en route to a win.
