Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars may have actually injured themselves into becoming a better team.

Nick Foles went down in Week 1 which didn’t turn out to be a loss of any kind considering that Gardner Minshew has been having a fantastic season so far.

I don’t think that the Jaguars are ready for a switch or anything, but after making some dumb free agent moves and getting themselves in cap trouble for the future, they have to be trying to figure out what they are going to do with this massively expensive QB who is probably as good or worse than the backup.

On the offensive line, Cam Robinson has struggled to come back from a 2018 knee injury and it is causing them to have to rotate him in and out of the lineup. For now the team is living off of D.J. Chark winning at the catchpoint, but the running game is beyond pitiful and the days of that working are limited.

I’m not even sure I would call this an injury, but Telvin Smith walked away from the team this offseason for personal reasons and his playmaking ability is gone from the secondary as they have to rely on Myles Jack and others to try to pick up the slack.
