The Tennessee Titans

When Pamphile’s mystery injury popped up and he was forced to miss three games (and counting) the Tennessee Titans did the logical thing and started a player who hadn’t played in over a year and looked bad in the preseason…wait, that’s what they did?

Anyway, the Titans seemingly could have started rookie Nate Davis but felt he was “too behind” in the playbook to take over. That sounds good on paper until you see the Jacksonville Jaguars film where he looked like he could have been replaced by any offensive lineman in the NFL, and whether he knew the playbook or not he would have done better.

If it feels like I am being harsh on Douglas, remember that he earned a “12” grade from PFF for his pass blocking. I have never seen a grade lower than a “35” before that grade.

It is Monday and as of this morning there has still been no addition made and Jamil Douglas is still on the roster. While I don’t believe this is what they were going for, if someone told you that Mike Vrabel was intentionally doing something to sabotage the Titans offense and get Marcus Mariota hurt then starting Jamil Douglas for 3 games is about as damning as you can get.
