9. Detroit Lions (2-0-1)

Remember when the Lions were supposed to be a bottom-feeder in the tough NFC North? Apparently Detroit didn’t get the memo, and following a disappointing result with a tie in Week 1, the Lions have beaten two of the teams expected to be at the top of their respective conferences in 2019.

Detroit followed up their Week 2 win over the Chargers with another impressive win on the road in Philly. Jamal Agnew’s 100-yard kickoff return for touchdown got the Lions going, and Detroit’s defense was able to keep Carson Wentz and the Eagles offense in check all game long.

Head coach Matt Patricia has his team playing at a high level to start the season and the Lions are right in the thick of things in the division. The Lions will get their toughest test yet with the Chiefs in Week 4, and we’ll know just what we’re dealing with when it comes to this surprising Detroit squad.
