Corey Davis’ outlook

If you blame Corey Davis’ lack of production on Corey Davis, you’re watching different games than I am.

Davis looks great individually, but Mariota is just missing him with poor throws or just not seeing him when he’s open. I truly believe if Davis was on a different team with a better passing offense, he’d be a superstar.

Sadly, passing the eye test doesn’t help us in fantasy football, and instead Davis has been a fantasy dud so far this season. Davis caught three passes on four targets for 44 yards in Week 3 — his best game thus far — including a beautiful one-handed grab on an overthrown ball by Mariota.

There’s certainly a chance things turn around for Davis and the Titans’ air attack, but right now it’s looking bleak. As a result, Davis needs to stay on your bench, unless your receivers are ravaged by injuries or just not very good.

Unfortunately, because fantasy owners can’t trust him right now, they’ll likely miss the game in which Davis eventually breaks out, if that happens at all. Still, there’s just too much uncertainty with Davis to start him.

Should you cut bait and drop Davis on the waiver wire?

Definitely not. I’d give it more time to see how things evolve when the Titans get their complete offensive line in tact.
