The Tennessee Titans were reportedly “in play and interested” in Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback, Jalen Ramsey.
A lot of teams inquired about Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback, Jalen Ramsey, and one of those teams were reportedly the Tennessee Titans.
ESPN’s Diana Russini reports that the Titans were “in play and interested” in Ramsey, but the asking price was simply too high for the Titans.
Adding to this reporting, most teams believe the price is just too high. Tennessee was in play and interested but he’s too expensive for them per source. https://t.co/0IkPOfCGQb

We’ve heard differing reports about what the actual asking price is for Ramsey.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that it would take at least one first-round pick to start discussions with the Jags for Ramsey.
The Jaguars are asking teams for at least one first-round pick in return for Pro Bowl CB Jalen Ramsey, but want more than that in return, per sources.

The MMQB’s Albert Breer then reported that the Jags were looking for two first-round picks for the star corner.
Per rival clubs, the asking price for Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey is two first-round picks.

That's a starting point. And added to what it'd cost to extend Ramsey, it's a lot. But it's not totally crazy, given what Seattle got for Frank Clark and Miami got for Laremy Tunsil.
While Ramsey, who is from Tennessee and was a Titans fan growing up, did say one of his ideal destinations would be the Titans — along with the Raiders when they move to Las Vegas — on the Bussin’ with the Boys podcast back in August, a trade for him was always unlikely.

That’s quite the haul to have to give up for him, whether it’s one first-round pick or two — and that’s especially true when you consider the Titans would have had to sign Ramsey to an extension at some point.
And all of that would have been predicated on the Jags actually wanting to trade their star corner to a division rival.
The Titans already have a stacked cornerback group with Adoree’ Jackson, Malcolm Butler and Logan Ryan, and the defense as a whole is already a strength on this team.
Not to mention, the Titans have a ton of money locked-up in their secondary in big contracts with Butler and safey Kevin Byard, and to a lesser extent, safety Kenny Vaccaro.
That scenario was clearly just too rich for the Titans’ blood. This team has bigger fish to fry on the roster, and spending so many resources in an area that doesn’t really need help wouldn’t have made a lot of sense, despite how great Ramsey is.
