Tennessee Titans: Biggest blunders from Week 2 loss to Colts
T.Y. Hilton’s catch on third-and-15
The Titans handed the Colts another scoring drive in the second quarter. It happened when the Colts were able to make not one, but two plays to extend their drive that never should have happened.
First, Brissett was facing a third-and-7, and while the Titans got great pressure on him and had multiple chances to bring him down in the back field, Brissett was able to escape like a magician and turn what should have been a sack into a first down to keep the drive alive.
What’s even worse is that the Colts were facing a third-and-15 play later in the same drive, yet T.Y. Hilton was able to get free deep down the field and make a 19-yard catch right in between Logan Ryan, Kenny Vaccaro and Malcolm Butler.
Granted, I can’t get on the Titans defense too much because with the way the offense was playing the Titans would have had no shot to win this game without it, but these two plays were inexcusable and ultimately led to another Colts touchdown.
When you look at it realistically, you could argue that the Colts should have only found paydirt once in this game.
