Loser: A.J. Brown, WR

For all the blame that people want to put on Marcus Mariota (and I promise we will get to that later) A.J. Brown hurt the team more than people who just look at the box score will understand.

On what could have been an easy 1st down conversion, Brown ran a drag route across the field and ended up trying to shake a defender but lost his footing and fell short ultimately leading to a punt instead of a sustained drive.

Later in the game, he dropped the last pass of the game and  it would have given the Titans the ball around the 40 yard line and a chance to kick a long field goal for the win.

Brown wasn’t all bad, but in crucial game I really expected the Brown that we saw in week one to show up big and make a play. I still have a lot of hope for him and rookies have ups and downs, especially at WR. Just, maybe we need to back off of him usurping Delanie Walker or Corey Davis as the main target in the passing game.
