27. Arizona Cardinals (0-1-1)
If you’re going to call a loss a moral victory, the Arizona Cardinals Week 2 loss to the Baltimore Ravens qualifies as such. The Cardinals were trailing 17-6 going into the half but were able to climb back to within three points of the Ravens in the fourth quarter.
After a Justin Tucker field goal that made it 23-17, the Cardinals had two opportunities to take a late-game lead, however the Ravens defense was able to force two straight three-and-outs to keep their lead and win the game.
The good news? Kyler Murray put up a career-high 349 yards through the air against a good defense, and the Cardinals defense didn’t get smoked like the Dolphins did by the Ravens. There’s still a ways to go in Arizona, but this loss should be looked at as more of a positive than a negative.
The Cardinals have now had a shot to win in both of their games this season. A Week 3 matchup with a down-and-out Carolina Panthers squad is yet another opportunity for Kilff Kingsbury to get his first win as a head coach.
