31. Cincinnati Bengals (0-2)

It’s hard to be a Cincinnati Bengals fan right now.

In what was a game against a team that is far from a powerhouse in the San Francisco 49ers, the Bengals got smoked and their familiar defensive struggles once again reared their ugly head. It was somewhat surprising after the Bengals put together a promising effort in Week 1 against the Seattle Seahawks.

Cincy got off to a horrible start after allowing two big pass plays for scores in the first quarter. The Bengals would go into the half down 24-10, and things didn’t get much better from there.

The Niners scored three times unanswered after that with two touchdowns and a field goal, taking a 41-10 lead. The Bengals scored their final touchdown of the game in garbage time on a pass from Andy Dalton to John Ross. The Bengals totaled an abysmal 25 yards on the ground all game.

We would say the Bengals Week 3 matchup with the Buffalo Bills is a winnable game, but it doesn’t look like there is such a thing for this Bengals squad — at least not if their defense continues to play like this.
