9. Houston Texans (1-1)

It wasn’t their best game, but the Houston Texans squeaked out a win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 2 courtesy of a defensive stand. In fact, it was all about defense for the Texans in this game.

With the Texans clinging to a 13-12 lead in the closing seconds of the game, the Jaguars went for a two-point conversion and handed the ball off to Leonard Fournette, who was unable to find paydirt, leading to another Jags loss.

The Texans weren’t able to do much all day, as Houston was outgained by Jacksonville and totaled just 263 total yards on offense. It’s a moot point, though, because the Texans still escaped the divisional showdown with a win, improving to 1-1.

With the win, the Texans sit atop the AFC South in a tie with the Tennessee Titans and Indianapolis Colts. Houston will travel to the west coast to face the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 3 after LA lost their Week 2 matchup with the Detroit Lions.
