22. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-1)

After an opening week loss, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers came out and upset the Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night Football. The Bucs did get a bit of help from their division rival, though, as Cam Newton had one of the worst games I’ve ever seen him play with a ton of missed throws.

The Bucs were clinging to a 20-14 lead late in the fourth quarter with the Panthers driving, but were able to stop Carolina from getting into the end zone on a 4th-and-1 run play to Christian McCaffrey. The Bucs were able to stop the Panthers running back from getting to the outside for a first down, completing what was a sensational effort on defense overall for Tampa Bay.

Jameis Winston certainly didn’t have his best game, but he did enough to put points on the board and propel the Bucs to victory. Chris Godwin really shined with 121 yards through the air and a score.

The Bucs will look to keep the good times rolling and earn their second win of the season against a New York Giants team that is struggling mightily to start the 2019 campaign.
