24. Carolina Panthers (0-2)

The Carolina Panthers are off to nothing short of a terrible start to 2019. After a close loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1, the Panthers dropped a home game to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2.

Cam Newton was downright awful in this one. He missed several throws to his receivers over the course of the game and completed less than 50 percent of his passes in total. Even with Newton’s dreadful showing, the Panthers still had an opportunity to win the game late.

A questionable play clay on a 4th-and-1 from the two-yard line saw the Panthers hand the ball off to Christian McCaffrey instead of the typical Newton QB sneak we’ve seen time and time again over the years. While the Newton sneaks are normally successful, the play to McCaffrey wasn’t and the Panthers fell two yards short of beating the Bucs on Thursday.

The future of head coach Ron Rivera has to be in doubt after an 0-2 start. The Panthers will hope to get things on track in Week 3 against a young Arizona Cardinals team.
