Adam Humphries, Slot WR

The Tennessee Titans did a lot of interesting things offensively last week, but the majority of the offense was run through 2TE (or more) sets. For the majority of the game that meant that A.J. Brown and Corey Davis were on the field and Humphries was on the bench.

Humphries did have a catch for an important 1st down, but after such a strong preseason it is alright to be a little disappointed with how he preformed on paper.

The gameplan was clearly to protect Marcus Mariota as well as they could and run the offense through a mix of play action passes and screen passes to keep the Cleveland Browns linebackers and pass rush off balance all day.

This week the Tennessee Titans will get to face a Colts defense that allowed 4 targets to average more than 14.0 YPC with at least 2 catches. It seems like a weak point in the Colts defense and if the Titans want to exploit that, I would expect Humphries to be a part of that attack.
