3. Justin Houston, EDGE

It is no secret that I loved Justin Houston this offseason and thought he would be the perfect target for the Tennessee Titans.

The team disagreed and went with Cameron Wake and so far they look absolutely right to do that. Wake has been outstanding and should terrify the Colts offensive line.

Still, outside of Wake, Harold Landry and Sharif Finch the Titans don’t have a bona fide pass rusher on the edge. Now, I know that three good EDGEs is more than most teams have, but if I am picking someone from the Colts I would rather have Houston as the EDGE4 than nearly any other player on that roster.

The Titans have some upside waiting for them when Reggie Gilbert gets healthy (maybe by Week 3 or 4?) but right now they are using Kamalei Correa and he just doesn’t look like he did when he had flashes last year.

In this scenario the Titans could run with Wake and Landry on the outside, Houston and Finch in double 3-techs, and then Casey at nose tackle in their diamond formation. Any could drop when the ball was snapped and you could get good pressure from a four man rush.
