I am starting to get really nervous that Jimmy Garoppolo may be an average QB, if that.

Everything was rainbows and sunshine in year one after the trade because he had a solid showing and the idea was that Kyle Shanahan would be able to do wonders with him with a full offseason to teach him the offense.

However, even before the injury there were some days where Jimmy G just didn’t look like the guy and at no point did he really consistently wow you. After another lackluster day against a bad defense, maybe it is time to think about what sort of big moves you need to make this offseason to really try to help him get to that next tier.

On the other side of the ball though I will take absolutely all the shares of Nick Bosa, DeForest Buckner, Dee Ford, and Arik Armstead. Those four look menacing and they are all fairly young players that fit a variety of defenses.

Going forward, I think the identity of this team is going to be in the trenches and with that core set up, they should be fine long term but it isn’t going to be too exciting this year.
