Weeks 3 and 12: Jacksonville Jaguars

Oh man, what a tough way to start the season.

The Titans obvious division rivals the Jacksonville Jaguars got all of 8 pass attempts from Nick Foles before an unfortunate injury knocked him out of the game. That will likely send him to I.R. and potentially cost him any chance to play against the Titans unless they are in contention and he heals quickly.

Today the Jaguars made a trade to bolster their QB depth chart:

I think the Dobbs trade is more of a signal that Nick Foles is going to on the shelf for a long time and likely the whole season, so they needed someone with NFL experience in case Gardner Minshew isn’t good against better defenses.

Surprisingly, the Jaguars only allowed 1 sack all game and 3 QB hits but the Kansas City Chiefs are a weird/bad defense that really struggles to keep opponents in check. Maybe they just backed off and played conservative knowing that the teams were so mismatched.

Despite not completely collapsing, there are questions still lingering about the OL and maybe some new questions for a defense that failed to get a single sack despite facing 33 pass attempts from the Kansas City Chiefs while also allowing Sammy Watkins to destroy them for 9 catches, 3 TDs and nearly 200 yards.

Tennessee Titans have to feel like this matchup has gotten easier not only due to injury, but because Kansas City just gave the blueprint on how to beat them.
