Defensive backs

1. Tennessee Titans

-If you are looking at the full list of starters, the Titans have to take the top spot. They likely have the two best safeties in the division and the best slot corner in the trio of Kevin Byard, Kenny Vaccaro and Logan Ryan. Adoree Jackson and Malcolm Butler are better than any of the other CBs in the division excluding the Jaguars.

2. Jacksonville Jaguars

-The big argument for the Jacksonville Jaguars is that they have Jalen Ramsey and that is a fair argument. Ramsey is one of the best CBs in the NFL when he is locked in, but outside of that they have A.J. Bouye who didn’t play up to his name last year, D.J. Hayden, Ronnie Harrison, and Jarrod Wilson. Not a bad group, but not the “Legion of Boom 2.0” like many will try to sell to you.

3. Indianapolis Colts

-Here by default, I don’t think the Colts have the DBs that they think they do. Malik Hooker is one of my favorite players to come out of the draft in the last few years but an ACL injury in his first season has limited his impact. Outside of him there just isn’t anyone who does it for me.

4. Houston Texans

-The Houston Texans had one of the worst groups of DBs in the NFL last year and all they really changed was bringing in a guy the Jaguars cut in Tashaun Gipson and swapping Tyrann Mathieu out for Justin Reid. Maybe they get a slight bump for bringing in Bradley Roby to be the third CB, but I don’t know.
