Tennessee Titans offense: Delanie Walker, TE

I’m not exactly starting off with a big sleeper here, but Delanie Walker is going to be huge in the game this weekend.

Linebackers Christian Kirksey and Joe Schobert are starting in a new defense this year after the coordinator switch from Gregg Williams to Steve Wilks. In there only real live test there were communication problems early and then it seemed like Wilks kinda panicked and decided to not test those skills any further and just play man and blitz.

For a team that had the 7th worst defense at defending against tight ends in 2018, this isn’t encouraging news. However, for a team looking to attack a defense that may feel like it needs to be aggressive, that is great news.

Outside of his potential as a receiver, I would expect that he is going to heavily factor into the Titans plans in pass protection.

With Dennis Kelly starting at left tackle, it seems like Walker chipping frequently is a really good idea and it allows you to have an excuse to get your best blocking tight on the field without giving anything away.

I am really curious to see how Walker responds to a season away from the field. After a promising preseason where he showed up when he had to, I am cautiously optimistic.
