By John Lowell

Yet another game the Titans should have won in 2018. With 31 seconds left on the clock, a shoddy play call (and design) on a failed two-point attempt to win the game led to a 20-19 loss in London. At the time, fans were upset by the call, but I loved the guts of Vrabel. He showed his team he trusted them to get the job done. If only anyone on earth had faith in former offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur to call the correct play.
Last year, the Chargers went 12-4 and made the playoffs as a wild card, losing a tie with their division rival Kansas City Chiefs. LA’s roster is stacked, but they’ve suffered setbacks this offseason. Star RB Melvin Gordon is holding out of his contract, and they’ve lost pro-bowl safety Derwin James to a stress fracture in his foot. Per the LA Times, head coach Anthony Lynn is hopeful he’ll make a return this year.
“I’d like for him to play in 2019,” Lynn said when asked directly if James would be available this season. “But I don’t know that for sure.”
Prediction: To the opposite effect of the Bills matchup, this is a game the Titans should drop, but I think they will win. It’s a classic “at home,” trusting my gut triumph for the Titans. With Vegas setting the line as a pick ’em, this game should be closer than many expect. Win
