Week 4 – Atlanta Falcons (Away)

2018 Record: 7-9

Line: Atlanta -4

Key Additions:

  • James Carpenter/Jamon Brown, G
  • Chris Lindstrom, G
  • Kaleb McGary, T

Key Departures:

  • Tevin Coleman, RB
  • Robert Alford, CB

After signing two guards in free agency, the Falcons spent two first-round picks on offensive linemen in the 2019 NFL Draft. Fortifying the O-Line was a top priority, it appears. A camp battle between James Carpenter and Jamon Brown has emerged for the LG position, while rookie Chris Lindstrom is slotted to start at right guard. As of today’s depth chart, rookie tackle Kaleb McGary will not start and will begin the year behind right tackle Ty Sambrailo.

The Falcons have arguably the best receiving corps. of any team in the NFL. The Titans do boast a tremendous secondary, but schematically I think they are outmatched.

Prediction: Loss Unless the Titans can turn up the heat on QB Matt Ryan, I don’t see a scenario where the Titans come away with this one. I’m just not sure they can keep up offensively, especially on the road.

Tennessee Titans win-loss counter: 3-3
