The Browns have had an incredible offseason on paper. General Manager John Dorsey went for it; quarterback Baker Mayfield is on his rookie contract, and the Browns were extremely active via trades and free agency. Dorsey has significantly upgraded this roster, but will it be too much pressure for the young team in Week 1?
If you had asked me before left tackle Taylor Lewan’s four-game suspension, I would’ve said the Tennessee Titans would find a way to steal this game. I believed it was in the Titans’ favor to get a shot at the Browns before they got on a roll.
What better way to silence the media? Could the Tennessee Titans infiltrate the Dawg Pound and beat a team of such grandeur?
Now, I believe that the Browns’ pass-rush is too much for the Titans to handle. Former No. 1 overall pick, defensive end Myles Garret, should have a field day. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan of Titans swing tackle Dennis Kelly, but for this game, the Titans need Lewan, their Pro-Bowler.
Prediction: Loss
The Browns defense becomes the story of this game, overshadowing its offensive counterpart. Too many mistakes from the Titans O-Line lead to an ugly Week 1 in Cleveland.
