Week 16 – New Orleans Saints (Home)

2018 Record: 13-3

Line: New Orleans -3

Key Additions:

  • Jared Cook, TE
  • Malcom Brown, DT
  • Latavius Murray, RB
  • Nick Easton/Erik McCoy, C

Key Departures:

  • Alex Okafor, DE
  • Mark Ingram II, RB

At first glance, a Week 16 head-to-head with the New Orleans Saints is about as good as it gets. Not only is this of the highest-caliber of contests, but the Saints could have already clinched home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. You know what that means, right?

In a perfect world, it would signify starters resting, potentially. And, it’s in December; the Saints are a dome team, so Titans fans should pray for frostbite that rivals only WR Antonio Brown’s feet. It’s a long shot—the Saints resting their starters—but if New Orleans gets off to a hot start in 2019, it’s plausible.

Head coach Sean Payton is one of the greatest offensive minds in the game. And while Drew Brees’ production is on the decline, he’s still Drew Brees. Part of a three-headed monster with running back Alvin Kamara and wide receiver Michael Thomas.

Prediction: Loss

The Saints were an egregious non-call away from the Super Bowl last year. In week 16, they show the Tennessee Titans what to strive for—greatness. The Titans aren’t good enough to hang, even with an inventive game plan from Vrabel.
