Tennessee Titans roster analysis: Three players I would sign and three I would cut

Cut: Jamil Douglas, OL

How did it come to this? If Nate Davis isn’t healthy, then the Titans primary backup on the OL is Jamil Douglas.

Why?

I mean, Douglas can snap or play guard but he didn’t win consistently at either position in the preseason. How could Tennessee Titans GM Jon Robinson and the coaching staff cut Corey Levin for Douglas?

If I am playing conspiracy theorist, I would guess that the Titans told Levin that they were going to start someone who was clearly worse than him for the third consecutive season and he asked for his release so that he could have a chance to start on another offensive line.

That left the Titans looking at Douglas as their primary backup which is a scary thought.

You are going to see how I would fix this problem in a second, but for now just know that this situation was bungled and it is starting to make me concerned about Keith Carter’s ability to coach and evaluate the offensive line.
