Tennessee Titans roster analysis: Three players I would sign and three I would cut

Cut: Dalyn Dawkins, RB

I don’t have anything against Dawkins, but I don’t know what he does for you on game day.

He played 0 special teams snaps in the preseason, so expecting him to be active in that phase of the game is presumptuous based off of everything that we have seen.

So now the question is about how much he adds to the Titans as a pure runner. With Derrick Henry set to be the clear RB1 and with Dion Lewis getting paid a lot of money to be the change of pace back, does Dawkins take reps from either one of them?

If not, is he going to play some fullback like we have heard that David Fluellen can and will do? I don’t think he has the frame or the experience to do that.

So now you are looking at a running back that played hard in Week 4 of the preseason and someone the team knows well, but someone who probably would make it through waivers.

With how the team is right now I don’t know that he gives you anything remarkably different and there are running backs desperate for work around the league right now that could come in off the street and be a backup if need be.
