Hit: Kalif Raymond

The Titans’ leading receiver in two of the four preseason games, Raymond was a standout player from the jump at training camp. He was a consistent receiving threat for the Titans in preseason play, and he also showed he has the chops to be a solid returner.

Once we found out that Raymond was making the roster, it gave us an idea that Taywan Taylor was possibly out the door — and out the door he eventually went in a trade with the Cleveland Browns.

Raymond managed to outplay the Titans’ former third-round pick from 2017 every step of the way, and the Holy Cross product earned his place on the 53-man roster as a result. Good for him.

Miss: Jamil Douglas/David Quessenberry

You can pick either one of these two as a miss. Both players were kept over Levin, and we thought it should have been the other way around with one of these linemen.

In particular, we thought Douglas should have gone instead of Levin. He hasn’t shown anything remotely resembling the appearance of even a backup lineman, despite getting some first-team reps during training camp and the preseason.

And to think, at one point he had a shot to become the starting right guard. That would have been a disaster.
