Former Tennessee Titans wide receiver Taywan Taylor had a message to the team and fans after being traded to the Cleveland Browns.

After being traded to the Cleveland Browns, former Tennessee Titans wide receiver Taywan Taylor posted a message on Instagram for the team and its fans.

Taylor was dealt right before the roster cut deadline on Saturday. In exchange for sending Taylor to Cleveland, the Titans received a seventh-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Here’s what Taylor posted on his Instagram page following the deal.

"“Thank you Tennessee. Thank you to the Titans organization for believing in me, drafting me back in 2017, and changing my life. I’m forever thankful for the opportunity you gave me to live out a lifelong dream. To all my teammates thank you for making it all worth it. All I ever wanted was to earn your respect every time I stepped on that practice/game field and give it my all. I can go on forever. Just know it was an HONOR to represent the city of Nashville and that titan blue. I will never forget!”"

Taylor was a 2017 third-round pick of the Titans. He played in 29 games during his tenure in Tennessee, posting 53 catches for 697 yards and two touchdowns. His best season came in 2018 when he totaled 37 catches for 466 yards and one touchdowns.

While fans will appreciate what Taylor did in his short time here, they will also wonder what could have been. Taylor definitely showed promise in two seasons, but he never fully realized his potential with the kind of athleticism he has.

Now all of that’s in the past. Taylor gets a new start in a new home, and the Titans will move forward with Kalif Raymond in his place.
