19. New York Jets

The Jets are so intriguing…on paper. I don’t know if I am as high on Sam Darnold as most, but with an improved offensive line and Le’Veon Bell at running back it is hard to imagine him regressing in any sort of meaningful way.

Defensively they are build strong up the middle with Leonard Williams, C.J. Mosley and Jamal Adams. While there are names an money being thrown at other posititions on the defense I would go ahead and assume that is all fluff with no substance.

Oh, except Quinnen Williams because he is amazing.

18. Houston Texans

The Houston Texans are all in on 2019! Unfortunately they didn’t realize that until after they fired their GM and put Bill O’Brien in charge of everything. I am not sure that a man who really doesn’t seem to have great job security, should be trading draft picks that don’t happen for another 20 months or so.

The Texans lost Jadeveon Clowney and gained Laremy Tunsil which is a loss for Houston. While the theory is that Tunsil will help keep Watson upright, it is a lot like if you have four blown tires and you replace one tire with a high quality tire.

On one hand, that is a nice tire. On the other hand, you aren’t moving because the other tires are completely shot.

Defensively the Texans have J.J. Watt and above average role players here and there. I think this team is in for a rude awakening.
