11:00 AM: Chase Young EDGE, Ohio State

If you follow the 2020 NFL Draft prospects at all, I am sure you know the name Chase Young. Heading into the season, he is the standard by which all other EDGE will be judged.

When I was watching him this summer I honestly wanted to see a little bit more from him, but there is a chance that I just have some EDGE fatigue after the likes of Bradley Chubb, Harold Landry, Marcus Davenport, Nick Bosa, Brian Burns, Montez Sweat, and others all have had such great tape coming out.

He isn’t facing a mighty challenge vs Florida Atlantic, but Lane Kiffin’s squads always seem to be able to put pressure on opposing defenses.

I am worried less about how well Young can get up the field this week and more interested in seeing how he plays within the scheme. Is he going to take the bait on play actions? Will he read his keys? Is he going to sacrifice himself so that someone else can make a play?

These are the things that NFL teams will pay attention to this spring and even though breaking down clips is great, there is just something different about watching how a player does it live that gives you a slightly better feel for the player.
